Ballina Heritage Walking Tour

There is more to Ballina than most visitors ever discover. Whispers of the Moy is a 90-minute guided walking tour that tells the story of this town from its foundation on the banks of the River Moy in 1723, through the stories of the people who lived, struggled and thrived here across three centuries.

Led by local guide Clodagh, the tour takes in nine stops through the heart of Ballina, from the military barracks to the river bank, from the market square to a secret garden most people in this town never knew existed. Along the way you will hear about rebellion and famine, emigration and homecoming, and the ordinary men and women from these streets who went on to leave their mark on the world.

A gentle walk suitable for all ages and a lovely way to get to know the town.
